Antique Tabriz Persian rug displayed in a gallery

Hawthorn East · Since 1992

Rugs woven by hand,
chosen by eye.

A small Melbourne gallery devoted to genuine Persian and Oriental rugs — each piece sourced in person, knot by knot, from the looms of Iran.

A philosophy

One rug,
a hundred winters.

A great Persian rug is not bought, it is inherited — first by you, then by the rooms you live in, and eventually by whoever comes after. We've spent three decades on Camberwell Road helping Melbourne families find the piece they'll keep that long.

Every rug in the gallery is hand-knotted, sourced in person, and chosen for the same reason: it does something quiet and remarkable to a room.

Heritage

Knot by knot,
over months — sometimes years.

A single fine Persian carpet can hold more than a million knots, each one tied by hand. We work directly with the families who weave them, so the journey from loom to your living room stays short and honest.
